What does California law say about sports betting?

What courts and officials have done about exchanges in California

  • On Sept. 16, 2026, the Ninth Circuit held in Blue Lake Rancheria v. Kalshi that two California tribes are likely to prove Kalshi's sports contracts, when entered from tribal lands, violate federal Indian gaming law, and sent the injunction request back to the district court.
