What is BetMGM and who regulates it?
BetMGM is a state-licensed online sportsbook. SlateProof tracks it on equal terms with the 9 other venues it covers, and it appears on this site wherever its own app is available.
A sportsbook is regulated state by state, not by a federal agency. In Arizona that regulator is the Arizona Department of Gaming; in Colorado it is the Colorado Division of Gaming, and each state sets its own rules for age, advertising and bet types.
What our availability data says about it: “Nevada needs in-person sign-up at an MGM sportsbook first. Mississippi is left out: mobile betting there works only inside a casino.”
In which states is BetMGM available?
BetMGM operates in 23 of 51 jurisdictions (22 states and DC) as of October 5, 2026. Where it is not listed, it is not licensed or has not launched there; the state pages show what is available instead.

What age do you need to use BetMGM?
The minimum age is 21 in the states where BetMGM is listed.
The age that applies is the one in the venue’s own app for your state; it can be higher than a state’s legal minimum.
What does it cost to bet at BetMGM?
BetMGM charges no separate fee in SlateProof’s fee table; its margin (the vig) is in the price. Both sides of an even market at -110 imply 52.38%, which add up to 104.76%, so the book keeps about 4.76% of a balanced market. Fees last checked October 6, 2026.
Which promotions does SlateProof track for BetMGM?
SlateProof prices 4 existing-customer promotions for BetMGM and 2 sign-up offers every cycle from a dated catalog. Many tokens are targeted, so your account may see different amounts.
Existing-customer promotions
| Promotion | Kind | Terms we recorded | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| BetMGM 25% odds boost token figures assumed | Profit boost | Token in the Promotions tab for one straight bet at -300 or longer; the profit is boosted and paid in cash. Boosts run 5-100% and the max stake $2-$500 by account ($25 assumed); expires in about 24h. | October 6, 2026 |
| BetMGM 25% parlay boost token figures assumed | Parlay boost | Any Sport Parlay Boost: 3+ legs with the whole parlay at +400 or longer; $25 max on the official token; extra winnings in cash; expires in 24h. Five legs is our cap, not BetMGM's. | October 6, 2026 |
| BetMGM no-sweat token | No-sweat or refund token | Sport-specific token: a losing bet at -300 or longer comes back in bonus bets, up to $10 here (BetMGM's range is $5-$1,000 by account); the bonus bets expire in 1-7 days. | October 6, 2026 |
| BetMGM $25 bonus bet (Rewards Store) figures assumed | Bonus bet | 2,000 BetMGM Rewards points buy a $25 bonus bet (free-to-play games award them too); stake not returned; -200 or longer assumed; expires in 24h to 7 days. | October 6, 2026 |
Sign-up offers
| Offer | Where it applies | Ends | Terms we recorded | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BetMGM: first bet back up to $1,500 in bonus bets | Everywhere it operates except New York, Nevada, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, District of Columbia and Mississippi | Ends November 1, 2026 | If your first bet loses, BetMGM refunds it in bonus bets (five equal ones of 20% for $50+). Value shown for a full $1,500 first bet; a smaller bet scales down. | October 6, 2026 |
| BetMGM: bet $10, get $150 in bonus bets if it wins figures assumed | A state variant: Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia | No end date stated | Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia: a winning first $10 bet pays $150 in bonus bets. The minimum odds are unverified; -500 or longer is assumed, as at most books. | October 6, 2026 |
Amounts are the catalog’s, not a promise that your account is offered them. A figure marked “assumed” is our own typical value, not one the venue publishes. Bonus bets usually return only the winnings, not the stake. The offer in the app is the one that counts.
How do bets at BetMGM settle when something unusual happens?
A hedge or arbitrage is only as good as the way both venues settle the odd cases, so SlateProof discloses these rules next to every arbitrage it shows.
- A player who does not play. A sportsbook voids and refunds the bet, but an exchange does not: Kalshi settles at the last fair price and other exchanges may grade it No.
- A push on a whole-number line. The stake is refunded, so a hedge between two sportsbooks pays $0 in that case; with an exchange leg SlateProof blocks the mix, because exchanges may not refund a push.
- A tie in a period moneyline. SlateProof has not recorded BetMGM as refunding a tie in a two-way period moneyline (only DraftKings and FanDuel are marked that way), so it blocks an arbitrage there unless every leg is at a book known to refund it.
- Limits. Sportsbooks often cap prop stakes, limit accounts and void erroneous lines.
These are the cases SlateProof’s arbitrage checks flag. The venue’s own rules are the final word, and a locked profit holds only if every leg is accepted and settles as expected.
How does SlateProof use BetMGM?
SlateProof uses BetMGM as a place to bet and a source of promotions, under the same rules as every other venue.
- Its own price never sets its own fair value: each quote is screened against a fair value built without it and the books that copy it, and no venue is the main one.
- It carries no weight as a reference price; it is a place to bet and a source of promotions, and a hedge can go to it or from it within the accounts you hold.
- SlateProof never places a bet or a trade for you.
